With this underlying purpose, it was sometimes hard for traditional workers to receive the help they needed. The nine founding members created a cooperative institution dedicated to working for people, a not for profit financial institution also known as a credit union. As word of the new credit union spread, membership grew. Employees from Pierce County and more than 200 businesses, associations and communities eventually signed on as approved member groups providing the benefits of credit union membership to their own employees and members.Today, over 24,000 people belong to Tapco. Each member has learned firsthand about the advantages of belonging to a nonprofit financial institution.
You can be a member, too.As a cooperative, each TAPCO member is also an owner and has a voice in how the credit union operates. That voice keeps TAPCO focused on the founding members' vision of "People Helping People."While maintaining a professional staff to run daily operations, Tapco's governing policy is set by the Board of Directors, a group of hard-working volunteers elected annually by members..
Viva la Venus Rocks Jay Leno and the Tonight Show
If you were watching the Tonight Show on July 11, 2005, you saw a picture of the hot up-and-coming band, Viva la Venus.
Their band photo was featured during the "headlines" segment by Jay Leno. The original article was featured in the Asheville Citizen Times.
Viva la Venus played a show at Fred's Speakeasy.
The show was sponsored by Go-Girls and featured three bands that had between 1 and 3 female members.
The headline read "These Women Rock" referring to the women in all the bands.
Of course, Viva la Venus's picture was large and right next to the headline.
Leno took the opportunity to suggest the long-haired, goatee-wearing male drummer was an unattractive woman.
Members were flattered that Leno found most of the band attractive and hope to prove that the headline is correct.
These women (and one man) really do rock. The photo from the paper was taken outside a club called the Handlebar in SC where the group had...
Haunted Dumpster Poster Found - The Lady in White on Ebay!
(ContentDesk) October 21, 2005 -- I found this poster/photo in the industrial alleys in the SW part of Las Vegas, right behind the strip, laying next to a dumpster along with 5 other posters of pictures. It measures 30" x 40" and pictures a woman wrapped in saran wrap, it also has a tag on the back that says Lady In White. A couple days later, I gave this photo to my buddy Chris as a house warming present for a new condo he moved into. His old grandmother saw the photo and told him not to put it up because she said it was haunted. The very next day he places the photo in his closet facing the wall thinking he'd put it up another time, later that day he leaves to the gym for a while.
He lives in this condo by himself, with noone holding a key but him. He comes back from the gym and goes to the bathroom to take a shower. Upon entering the bathroom, he noticed that the bathroom looked as if it had been used not too long before he walked in, he found long strands of blond hair all...

Selecting Good Stock Photography in the Age of Digital
The business of stock photography has drastically changed over the last few years. Ten years ago, selecting photographs for your brochure or newsletter meant spending hours pouring over stock photography catalogs and ordering photo research to find the exact image. When the order came in a giant overnight package, designers would spread transparencies out on the light table, squinting through a magnifying loop to check every detail. Enter the digital age. High speed Internet connections.
CD's. Searchable Archives. Royalty-free stock. These elements have changed the face of communication design forever. The quality, quantity, affordability and accessibility of stock imagery have made it the resource of choice for many organizations.
The advantages of instantaneous access to searchable archives of good images are numerous.
