(ContentDesk) October 21, 2005 -- I found this poster/photo in the industrial alleys in the SW part of Las Vegas, right behind the strip, laying next to a dumpster along with 5 other posters of pictures. It measures 30" x 40" and pictures a woman wrapped in saran wrap, it also has a tag on the back that says Lady In White. A couple days later, I gave this photo to my buddy Chris as a house warming present for a new condo he moved into. His old grandmother saw the photo and told him not to put it up because she said it was haunted. The very next day he places the photo in his closet facing the wall thinking he'd put it up another time, later that day he leaves to the gym for a while.
He lives in this condo by himself, with noone holding a key but him. He comes back from the gym and goes to the bathroom to take a shower. Upon entering the bathroom, he noticed that the bathroom looked as if it had been used not too long before he walked in, he found long strands of blond hair all along the counter sink, his hair comb and even in the shower! He grabs a handful of strands and goes to see the photo in his closet and the photo is facing out! When he left it facing the wall! He does not have a girlfriend and has not had any woman in his room. He totally freaked out and brought the photo right back my friends house where we were all hanging out, he didn't even say anything to me, I heard this story from my other buddy. I just put the photo in my closet and took some photos of it and here she is, I want to get rid of her A.S.A.P! All I have said in this text is the absolute truth, I have witnesses to this event and as I was writing all this, me and 2 others felt an intense, ice cold chill in the room!.
Call for Entries: The Manic Mommies Want Your Digital Holiday Card Outtakes
Boston, Ma. (ContentDesk) December 9, 2005 -- Coordinating outfits. Check. Haircut. Check.
Batteries in camera. Check. Tree up. Lights on. Fire in the fireplace.
Children enter stage left. OK, Mom says. Smile pretty. While it seems like an easy task, experienced parents everywhere know that capturing a single photo for the family holiday cardwhere all children are looking perfectly adorableis no simple feat. Across America, parents have likely spent the last few weeks wavering between bribes and threats, jumping up and down, waving silly toys and contorting their own faces in hopes of making little junior smile. The maternal desire to capture the perfect photo of your children at the holidays is quite remarkable, says Kristin Brandt, a writer and producer of the online web log and audio cast Manic Mommies.
When creating my own holiday card, I realized there must be countless parents out there doing the same thing: deleting dozens of photos where one child...

Viva la Venus Rocks Jay Leno and the Tonight Show
If you were watching the Tonight Show on July 11, 2005, you saw a picture of the hot up-and-coming band, Viva la Venus.
Their band photo was featured during the "headlines" segment by Jay Leno. The original article was featured in the Asheville Citizen Times.
Viva la Venus played a show at Fred's Speakeasy.
The show was sponsored by Go-Girls and featured three bands that had between 1 and 3 female members.
The headline read "These Women Rock" referring to the women in all the bands.
Of course, Viva la Venus's picture was large and right next to the headline.
Leno took the opportunity to suggest the long-haired, goatee-wearing male drummer was an unattractive woman.
Members were flattered that Leno found most of the band attractive and hope to prove that the headline is correct.
These women (and one man) really do rock. The photo from the paper was taken outside a club called the Handlebar in SC where the group had...
Decorating for the Holidays When Short on Time & Money
Lucky you if you live in the north (of the US). Lucky all of us that nature is plentiful in providing free supplies for decorating our homes for Thanksgiving no matter where we live.
Even in South Texas at this time of year I can wander outside and clip off some branches from my yellow-berried pyracantha (I planted some with yellow berries as well as red just for this occasion), and grab a handful of at least brown leaves. If you live in the north and can garner pine cones, seed pods, pine branches and fallen leaves in all their glorious colors, use these as the basis for your color scheme.I'm also lucky to have a garden full of chrysanthemums in bloom ready to be put around in vases in the house. Since they're perennials (down here), I can always count on having them come back this time of year.
Check your yard and garden for blooms in keeping with your color scheme (and next year, consider planting accordingly).
You also have an array of decorating materials...

How Public Speaking Can Help You Dramatically Increase Your Business
Copyright 2005 Donna Gunter
There's an often-quoted statistic that the fear of public speaking is right up there with the fear of death as the two events people most fear in their lives.
However, as a business owner, I can guarantee you that public speaking is a phenomenal way to grow your business, so if it's an activity that scares you, you need to take the bull by the horns and start working past that fear.
As an introvert, public speaking isn't something that comes naturally to me, although I'm told I'm good at it.
It's been quite a learning process, and I've had as many failures as successes.
My best learning experiences have come through the process of finding the courage to just do it and learn along the way.
If you're a self-employed service professional, you work in a time-based economy.
You have only so many hours in the day to work directly with your clients.
Speaking to groups gives you the opportunity...
